Walk and talk
On this 3-mile leisurely walk with Hazel you’ll discover the businesses and individuals who used their ingenuity, creativity, and inventiveness to produce a wealth of products which helped this town play a significant role in the Industrial Revolution.
Learn about the impact of historic makers Edmund Sharpe, Richard Holden, Sir Nigel Gresley, Helen Allingham, Paramount Cars, Thomas Wragg, Benjamin Outram, William Ault, and Sabine’s Engineers… and if you’re lucky Hazel may entertain you with a song or two.
Please allow between 1.5 and 2 hours and while the route is accessible this activity may not be suitable for people with low mobility.
