Step inside the textile story of Masson Mills.

With Amanda Nichol

Throughout the day | Drop in

See the story of Masson Mills come to life through the movement, rhythm and sound of weaving in action.

Join Amanda Nichol in The Weaving Shed for demonstrations using Masson's historic textile machinery and discover more about the processes and skills behind the cloth we use every day.

Against the backdrop of this extraordinary historic mill, the demonstrations connect the skills and labour of Masson's textile past with questions that remain just as relevant today.

How are our textiles made? What skills sit behind them? And might understanding the making process change the way we value the finished cloth?

Drop in as you explore The Weaving Shed and experience part of Masson's textile heritage in action.
