What might the homes and places of the future look like?
Step inside Home by Milestone's Passivhaus Centre of Excellence, set across the historic, hydro-powered Masson Mills, and discover ideas for creating more sustainable places to live.
For one day, explore spaces not usually open to the public and discover sustainable materials, low-energy building solutions and innovative technologies helping to shape the future of how we build and live.
It's a fascinating meeting of past and future: a pioneering historic building once powered by the River Derwent, now providing a setting in which to explore new approaches to energy, materials and sustainable living.
Women Who Make is exploring circularity in its widest sense – how we make, use, value, repair and reimagine the things and spaces around us. Home by Milestone takes that conversation into the places we call home.
Wander through, explore the spaces and discover what building differently could look like.
Festival entry is free
Home by Milestone is free to explore as part of the Women Who Make Festival. No separate booking is required.
We'd love you to register for the festival so we can keep you informed of any updates and important information ahead of the day. Registering also helps us understand how many people will be joining us and plan for the day.
