An Ethical Atelier Panel led by Abigail Wastie
2pm–2.30pm | Drop in
What does the future look like for clothes and textiles made here in the UK?
Join Abigail Wastie and women working across UK fashion manufacturing for a conversation about what it means to make onshore today – and what needs to happen for UK manufacturing, businesses and specialist skills to continue into the future.
From the knowledge held by skilled makers to the realities of running and growing businesses, the panel will explore some of the opportunities and challenges facing UK-made fashion.
How do we sustain skills? What does choosing to manufacture in the UK mean for businesses and consumers? And what might a thriving future for UK fashion manufacturing look like?
Part of The Ethical Atelier, this is an opportunity to hear directly from women working within the industry and discover more about the people and processes behind what we wear.
