Wednesday Webinars - Making as Soft Power
Women Who Make invites you to an online event exploring the power of making to shape culture.
Making as Soft Power explores how women use materials, process and creative practice to tell stories, influence systems and advocate for change. Often subtle but deeply impactful, making becomes a way of shaping culture through objects, spaces and shared narratives.
This webinar reflects on women’s experiences of working with institutions, organisations and communities, and how creative practice can open conversations around equity, value and representation. We’ll consider storytelling through materials, ethical processes and collaboration, alongside the challenges of visibility and voice.
Grounded in lived experience, the session highlights making as a form of advocacy - where creativity functions as care, resistance and influence, leaving lasting traces in how stories are told and whose voices are heard.
