Wednesday Webinars - Women Who Gather
Women Who Make invites you to an inspiring online conversation exploring the power of women gathering to connect, share and create change.
Women Who Gather explores what happens when women come together with intention. From sewing circles and studios to networks and collectives, women have long used gathering as a way to share knowledge, care for one another and create change.
This webinar looks at gathering as a creative and political act - one that values women’s labour, builds confidence and creates space for collective purpose. We’ll reflect on how women who make connections, navigate leadership and create communities of support in both visible and informal ways.
Rooted in local creative networks but resonating nationally, the conversation invites reflection on gathering as a form of soft power: nurturing ideas, sustaining creative lives and shaping fairer futures together.
Women Who Gather brings together an inspiring panel of women shaping creative practice, leadership and community in powerful and distinct ways. From global thought leader Lauren Currie - founder of UPFRONT and a leading voice on confidence as a tool for equity and change - to Derbyshire-based photographer Helen Rowan, whose work supports women to feel seen, understood and confident in their own stories, this conversation spans personal, professional and collective experience.
Joining them is Samantha Whelan, Chief Executive of Platform 31 and a key advocate for women in the creative and cultural sector, who convenes networks and spaces for connection across the region. Together, they offer a rich and grounded exploration of what it means to gather, support and uplift one another through creativity, care and shared ambition.
To say thank you for joining us, the first 20 people to register will receive a free copy of UPFRONT by Lauren Currie.
If you’re unable to join us live, you’re still very welcome to book a place – the session will be recorded and shared with all registered attendees so you can watch it in your own time.
