Wednesday Webinars - Where Women Create
Women Who Make invites you to an online event exploring how women shape the spaces we live through creativity and care.
Where Women Create explores the home as a creative, cultural and political space shaped by women’s labour, imagination and care. From architecture and interiors to textiles, gardens and heritage crafts, this webinar looks at how women design, make and re-make the places we live.
Featuring perspectives from architecture, design and craft, the session considers home as both sanctuary and site of production - where sustainability, creativity and everyday making meet. We’ll explore the renewal of heritage skills, circular practices and the often-invisible labour embedded in domestic spaces.
Bringing together a dynamic panel of makers, designers and creative practitioners, this conversation explores identity, storytelling and material connection through contemporary craft and collaborative practice. Featuring Helen Antrobus, curator, historian and writer uncovering social histories through people’s stories and everyday objects; Sasha Archer, shamanic and creative practitioner weaving together craft, ritual and nature connection; Blackpop, the independent interiors brand known for bold textiles and British craft collaboration; and Amanda Haran, a contemporary community textile artist transforming overlooked spaces through flax growing, shared making and collective creativity.
This conversation invites us to rethink home not as a backdrop, but as an active creative force - holding memory, possibility and new ways of living.
