A lively, contemporary Morris dance performance bringing local industrial heritage to life through music, movement and storytelling.

Ay up mi duck!

Moulded from the brickyards of South Derbyshire and North West Leicestershire, Wilkes' Gob Border Morris Dancers tell the stories of their industrial and cultural heritage through an inspiring, modern take on traditional dance and music.

Named after an over-sized brick (“the Gob”), developed by the prolific local industrialist, Joseph Wilkes, Wilkes' Gob will illuminate our important local history in an engaging performance to entertain and educate in equal measure.

Fancy giving Border Morris a go? Join Wilkes' Gob at 1:30pm at the Church End of the High Street to learn a simple Morris dance with a stick! No experience necessary, all instructions given.
