Stitches in Time Banner Exhibition

In 1991 and 1992, textile artist Fiona Goodwin, commissioned by People Express, worked in 19 towns and villages across South Derbyshire, meeting with people of all ages to discuss what was important and unique about their villages and towns.

Fiona then worked alongside them, with a selected colour palette, to create 19 'Bayeux Tapestry' inspired unique wall-hanging textile banners, each telling the story of local heritage and shown together as the wonderful 'Stitches In Time' Exhibition.

Now, over 30 years later, you can see them again in their full glory!
