Katherine Parrish is part of Whistlewood Common a community owned woodland in Melbourne. Where they promote sustainable crafts and living. Katherine will be demonstrating how to make string out of natural fibres. Particularly New Zealand Flax, which they grow in their forest garden. String can also be made from Nettles, Tree bark and Brambles, in fact from most plants. Come and have ago at this ancient craft.
