A vibrant display of hand-crafted clay figures, each uniquely designed by young makers to reflect their community, creativity, and imagination.
"Working with South Derbyshire young makers from The Pingle Academy and Belmont Primary, we are creating our very own family of extraordinary clay people, inspired by our community and our own hopes and dreams.
These expressive and fun figures will be individually designed by each young person and created in clay, using a number of traditional hand-building ceramic skills. Each figure is unique and has carved, stamped, imprinted and modelled features, clothes and decorations made using our own hands, clay tools and found objects”.
