Women Who Make invites you to an immersive woodland experience exploring forest bathing, creativity and wellbeing.
Join Steph Walsh and Woodland Connections for a forest bathing experience in Shining Cliff Woods, exploring nature, wellbeing and creative reflection.
We will meet at the entrance to the birch wood at Shining Cliff Woods for a forest bathing session to immerse ourselves in nature and experience the positive effects on wellbeing from nature connection.
We will discover the history of the woodland, including links to the Rock-a-Bye-Baby lullaby and the industry that served the area.
After the forest bathing session we will gather to discuss the Japanese origins of Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing) and you can try your hand at Japanese calligraphy with nature words (weather dependant), feeling the ebb and flow of the ink on paper, like the ebb and flow of wind and water through the woodlands and life.
NB. Parking at Ambergate train station or limited parking at the entrance to the wood.
