What are your dreams for the future?

Pull up a chair at the Dare to Dream Sewing Bee and transform reclaimed fabrics and found materials into banners, flags and textile pieces carrying your hopes, ideas and dreams.

Stitch, embellish, add words, symbols and colour – there is no right or wrong way to take part.

Your creation will become part of Dare to Dream, a growing collection of textile contributions being made by communities across Derbyshire.

In 2027, these individual pieces will be brought together as part of a collective celebration, creating something much bigger from the hopes and ideas gathered along the way.

Whether you're an experienced stitcher or haven't picked up a needle before, come and add your voice to the story.

No experience is needed – just imagination and a dream to share.

Festival entry is free

The Dare to Dream Sewing Bee is free and drop-in throughout the day. No separate booking is required.

We'd love you to register for the festival so we can keep you informed of any updates and important information ahead of the day. Registering also helps us understand how many people will be joining us and plan for the day.
