Step into a series of tiny worlds and see them come to life.
This two-day free exhibition showcases imaginative mini worlds created by local community groups as part of the Imagination Train project. Each scene has been built inside a cardboard box, imagining a past, present, or future landscape for a travelling train to pass through.
The mini worlds are linked by a working model railway created by illustrator and theatre designer Martin Paling, coordinator of Arthur’s Here and There Trains. A miniature train moves through the scenes carrying a camera, projecting live footage onto a wall and transforming these small-scale creations into a shared, larger-than-life experience.
Playful, creative, and full of character, the exhibition celebrates storytelling, collaboration, and the joy of making together.
